Suika Preschool My husband and I are both English speakers and do not speak Japanese at home, but were looking for a language immersion program for our three-year-old. She is bright, energetic, and and only child. Preschool was a must for friends and structure, but we weren't wild about putting her in a program that was going to fast track her academically. My daughter began attending Suika in September and by December was taking all of her instruction in Japanese. By March, she was speaking in three and four word sentences. She has learned her colors, shapes, numbers to ten, basic scissor cutting and craft making, and a host of other preschool concepts. She loves the school and her teachers, and we couldn't be happier. We would highly recommend the school to anyone looking for a Japanese program or second language for their children. Tip: Most of the teachers and staff speak speak some English, but a personal visit to the school office will make your initial conversations much easier. A Fun Japanese Preschool/Kindergarten My kids have been going to Suika on Saturdays for the past couple of years. It is the largest pre-K/K Japanese school in the area. The staff/teachers are all Japanese natives and they do a pretty good job of simulating the schools in Japan. |
